Happy Easter!

Easter 2009 was fun at the Simpson's house. Linkin is a pro at hunting for Easter eggs thanks to Crystal (his wonderful babysitter) who has been practicing with him for a couple of weeks. He found 31 of the 32 eggs we hid for him to find this morning - hmmmm... wonder where that last egg is hiding! At least they weren't real eggs! :) But getting him all loaded up on sugar before church wasn't the best idea (as if he doesn't already have a hard enough time sitting somewhat still and being somewhat quiet) - needless to say he was SUPER wild today. I received several of those stares - you know the "could you please control your child" stares. Oh well, we survived and I know Linkin had a great day.

Ben took Linkin to get his picture taken with the Easter Bunny last weekend. I unfortunately was at home working on a paper for school :( I was so glad to hear that he wasn't afraid to sit on his lap and it only took three tries to get him smiling for the picture. I think at first he wasn't too sure about what was going on but I thought the pictures turned out great when they got home and showed them to me. So, good job dad on taking Linkin to see the Easter Bunny!

Birthday Celebration!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINKIN!

I thought you all would enjoy "seeing" Linkin enjoy his first birthday cake.

This is the first "innocent" taste of frosting. Notice how he is looking at us for some indication on how to proceed. :)

Now he is getting a bit more into it!

Linkin didn't eat much of the cake, except when we would feed it to him.

He was pretty proud of his work and kept clapping. It was cute, but aggghhh...Cake was everywhere!

He eventually worked the cake into his ears and hair too.

We made the unfortunate mistake of not stripping him down to a diaper before we started, so we had a fun time removing his clothes before the bath. I love his little blue-frosting beard.

What a cute little man!!

We also caught the "eating" of the birthday cake on video, so I will try and get it posted soon.
